IEI KADAPA
The Institution of Engineers (India), Kadapa Local Centre was formed on 05.10.1989 with great effort put forth by:
1) Shri M. Sreerami Reddy, FIEFormer Officer on Special Duty and Advisor to the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh on Irrigation Projects and Founder Chairman of Kadapa Local Centre.
2) Shri V. Venkata Swamy, FIEFormer Member - Generation, APSEB
3) Late Shri V.V. Reddy, FIE
Former Chairman, APSEB
4) Late Shri Y.V. Subba Reddy, F.I.E.
2nd Chairman of Kadapa Local Centre.
The institution has dedicated committee members from all the fields of engineering.
INSTITUTION BUILDING:To have a permanent building for the Institution, Late Shri V.V. Reddy was kind enough to allot 25 cents of site in an important location near T.V. Relay Centre, Kadapa and this Institution will ever remember his help to this Local Centre. So far about Rs.7.19 lakhs was spent for the building in ground floor and Rs. 4.54 lakhs was spent in the first floor for accommodation of the guest and other visitors to the centre. At present the Local Centre is having four non-A/c Guest Rooms in the first floor. A meeting hall with mike system, LCD and Internet facility can satisfy the basic needs for conducting the meeting for 250 members strength. At present this Local Centre has 591 corporate members, 489 graduate members and 3858 Senior Techician/Technician members as on 30.06.2009.
CONDUCTION OF AMIE EXAMINATIONS:The AMIE examinations of Section-A (Diploma and Non-Diploma streams) and Section-B were conducted from Summer - 1990 to Winter - 1994. Now Section-A (Diploma Stream) examination only are being conducted since Summer-1998 in Kadapa Local Centre.
